Post-visit update with Savoca. Video credit: Juhn Maing

Thanks to the timely assistance of a dedicated reader (special thanks to Otto), I was able to confirm that Catanese tailor Sebastiano Savoca was still active in 2017. I therefore retained his profile in the latest update to my book SGST published the same year.

In spring 2018, I finally had the opportunity to reconnect with Savoca. This is long overdue but definitely better late than never. As I mention in the video, he has changed his address and opened up a workshop in his apartment where he works with his clientele (contact details in book and Forum).

My understanding is that he has reduced the number of clients but still open to new clients. I also believe his pricing is still very accessible but you must travel to Sicily for fittings.

If you have recently commissioned something from him, write it up in the discussion topic dedicated to Savoca in the Sleevehead Forum. More photos of Savoca’s work are accessible to members below.
